Our History

We’re proud of where we’ve been and where we’re going. From humble beginnings in 1999 to industry leaders today, it’s been an enthralling and evolving ride.

1999

Founded

It all started in 1999 when our CEO, Jay Clarke, founded and launched Magazines.com before e-commerce was cool. Establishing expertise in D2C online marketing, website development, and subscription management, Magazines.com would grow to be the #1 magazine superstore in the world.

2013

Founded

As the world transitioned to all things digital, from books to movies to magazines, Renew Co understood the future was bright in the online subscription business but would require diversification. With that in mind, we launched Cleaner Filters to provide fast, easy delivery of HVAC air filters every 30, 60, or 90 days to thousands of customers across the country.

2015

Acquired

Continuing the transition, Renew Co acquired our first business in the burgeoning vitamin & supplement space, Natural Healthy Concepts. This acquisition not only allowed us to enter a new vertical but challenged us with our first retail store and distribution center.

2018

Sold

Having raised significant capital to consolidate the major players in the online HVAC filter space, FilterEasy came knocking and we agreed to terms that would allow them to roll Cleaner Filters into their family of brands.

2019

Sold

Looking to dramatically expand its online and D2C presence, Merideth Corp., the premier magazine publisher in the world, acquired Magazines.com ending a 20-year run for Renew Co in the e-commerce magazine subscription sales business.

Acquired

Doubling-down on the vitamin & supplement vertical, Renew Co acquired one of its then-competitors, Professional Supplement Center. This acquisition also gave us our second distribution center and our second retail store and cemented us as a serious industry player.

2019

Acquired

As a stand-alone brand developed by the founders of Professional Supplement Center, Diamond Formulations became our first “house brand” adding the core competency of custom formulation and manufacturing to our toolbelt.

2021

Acquired

Looking to not only broaden our house brands offered but also to become a player on Amazon and Walmart , Renew Co acquired Core Med Science a doctor-formulated, Amazon-first brand with a small concentration of skus specializing in liposomal delivery of nutrients.

2022

Founded

As our first B2B play in the vitamin & supplement vertical, OIAM was founded to serve athletes with products designed specifically for peak performance. Major college and professional sports teams now have the ability to create custom vitamin packs with NSF for Sport certification, and we’re just getting started.
